I'm not very good at resisting Marc Jacobs Beauty.  It's a fact that I was officially the first person in the UAE to buy Marc Jacobs from Sephora-I even had my photo taken and everything.

Why it had taken me so long to pick up this little beauty will remain a mystery-but am I so glad I did.  And so is Vanessa from The Other VW.  We stood in Sephora in Mall of the Emirates discussing whether she was going to buy it and her proclamation that she would be gutted if she saw it on my blog and then wished she had bought it was concerning.  So to mitigate that risk, she bought it.  And I know she loves it too.

It's such a lovely neutral quad* (thank you Vanessa for pointing out this is a trio and not a quad) containing a satiny smooth but extremely decently pigmented ivory plus an insanely beautiful olive green and a perfect peachy gold.  The shadows do kick up a little dust when you place the brush in the pan (so does my Marc Jacobs Beauty Lolita palette) but they apply and blend really smoothly and the colour pay off is great.  There is no fall out at all.  The shadows fall on the more satin side of shimmer and look fantastic all day.  I am seriously in love with the central olive green shade-in my photos below it looks slightly mint toned when mixed with the peachy shade and then darker and greyer towards the crease.  This palette would suit everyone.  Love love love.

The packaging is of course sublime.  Slim, sleek and glossy with Marc Jacobs embossed in silver and a silver button opening.

You can see Vanessa and I discussing this purchase along with many others in her Dubai Beauty Haul video which is linked below.

Have you tried anything from the Marc Jacobs line?
