Mac Temperature Rising-the sequel

If you read my blog you may know I have been to London twice recently and on my first trip I had quite a splurge in Mac on the new collections and I posted about that beauty haul here.

On my second trip back to London I was again lured into the Mac counter and took a second look at the Temperature Rising collection and picked up 3 more items.

Now I am back in Dubai where the temperature is most definitely rising rapidly as we hurtle into summer I thought I would share those extra items I picked up.

35 degrees and rising.  Mac Temperature Rising blushes in (left) Hot Nights and (right) Ripe For Love

Hot Nights blush (frost finish)

Ripe For Love blush (satin finish)

New chocolate brown packaging

I really love these two blushers.  There are some great swatches of Hot Nights on Beautezine here which is a shimmering raspberry pink, very very pigmented and a light hand needed.  This will be a holiday blusher I think.

Ripe For Love is a coral pink with less shimmer but still strongly pigmented-don't be fooled by it's seemingly more subtle appearance.  Adrienne from The Sunday Girl blog has great swatches and a review here.  She likens it to Illamsaqua Sophie which is interesting as I also have that blush so I'll be doing a swatch comparison!

I have to say I am loving the packaging-it's bronze and has the rubbery texture Nars packaging has but doesn't pick up the fingerprints the Nars packaging attracts like a magnet.  I actually have one space for a blush in my pro palette and had thought I would just de-pot one of these, but I love the packaging so much I want to keep them intact.  At least that's an excuse to go and buy a new blush re-fill!

When I bought the 'Bare My Soul' quad on my first trip, Selfridges didn't have this 'Temperature Rising' palette on display or in stock.  London round two and Selfridges had it.  I'd done a bit of research because a comment left on my blog suggested I had a look at the swatches and so I went to the holy grail of make up websites Temptalia where I thought the swatches looked amazing and would suit my skin tone and eye colour.   Again the eyeshadows are held in the lovely bronze casing and the palette has a magnetic lid and clear top.
