I'm so sad I have just finished up this cleanser! I've actually loved everything I have tried from Rodial so far-I've written about loving the Super Acids X-treme Pore Shrink Cleansing Pads and the Dragons Blood Hyaluronic range is absolutely lovely.
I picked up this cleanser on a whim from Space NK last time I was in the UK, I really really liked the Glamtox cleansing balm-it's really gentle and it doesn't contain shea or cocoa butter or beeswax-so if you're sensitive to those ingredients that are so commonly found in cleansing balms, it's a good one to check out.
The Bee Venom range literally contains bee venom, stem cells and peptides and is designed to target ageing. How you can target ageing through a cleanser is debatable but there is a whole Bee Venom skincare line including a serum, moisturiser and eye treatment.
I really like the texture of the balm-it's quite a light, non sticky milky texture and it's very spreadable when applied to dry skin. I did use it as my make up removing cleanser and when you massage it in, there is a slightly warming feeling to the skin. But it's very gentle and there is no tingling. The balm contains bee venom which plumps and softens (there is a warning on the packaging not to use if you are allergic to bee stings), salicylic acid for clear skin, Vitamin C to brighten and Water Lily to reduce redness and irritation. It also has almond, wheatgerm and jojoba oils to soften.
I really love how luxurious it feels on the skin whilst also removing make up so thoroughly. I do use a damp flannel to remove the cleanser properly and it leaves my skin so soft and clean.
The only stinger is the price-it retails in the UK for GBP50 for 100ml and I went through it pretty fast. It's lovely but it's not groundbreaking enough to be holy grail and there are much cheaper, just as effective cleansing balms out there. But if you do like the more luxurious cleansing experience you get with cleansers like the Emma Hardie cleansing balm or the Elemis Pro Collagen cleansing balm then the Rodial is definitely worth checking out.
