Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Surreal Light

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Surreal Light

I like Hourglass products-a lot-even though they haven't featured a huge amount here on my blog.  But I own a ton of them.  I've resisted every other holiday palette previously released though, because I have found that I owned a lot of the powders that were included.
But this years holiday offering, Surreal Light is full of brand new, never released shades and it had to be mine.

There's only two things I don't like about this palette.

1.  The pans are quite small, to use each colour individually I need to select some of my smaller brushes for a more precise application

2.  The marble packaging.  You may gasp but I think it looks quite cheap and plastic-y.  I get that people will love it but my personal opinion is that I prefer Hourglass' normal glossy, burgundy packaging.

The rest of the palette is lovely.  The shades are subtle, seamless and glowy making this a perfect every day palette.  The Ambient Lighting powder is undetectable on the skin makes everything look smooth and soft focused.  The bronzer shade isn't too warm and doesn't look orange or obvious on my pale skin.  The strobing powder has quite a strong golden undertone and the glow comes alive in natural light.  The two blushers apply seamlessly and are two great day time choices.

This is a great all rounder and a brilliant introduction to Hourglass-but it's limited edition so if you like the look of it, grab one whilst you can!

PS-I did try to take photos of me wearing it but I am sick and knackered after my trip to Cairo and couldn't do the palette justice!
