Morning perk up-Rodial Dragons Blood Hyaluronic Range

Rodial Dragons Blood Hyaluronic Range

Good morning!  No lip six this week sorry, I find it really difficult to put them together when I am working in Cairo because the lighting in my hotel room is completely different to that at home so the grid of lip swatches looks terrible because of all the lighting differences.
So instead I thought I would do a quick post about the 'end steps' of my morning skincare routine today as I really like these two products.  My morning skincare routine is simple-I wash my face in the shower (currently using the Elemental Herbology Harmonising Cleaning Oil (like it, don't love it) and then swipe over my exfoliating toner (currently using the Clarins Wake Up Booster).

The next two steps are my favourite though-a few spritzes of the Rodial Dragons Blood Hyaluronic Tonic which is housed in a sleek frosted glass bottle with a powerful spray nozzle-I love the cool and refreshing feeling on my skin.  Dragons Blood is the red sap from the Croton Lechleri tree and was used historically for medicinal and healing purposes. It is ideal for sensitive or stressed skin to plump out fine lines and protect from the elements whilst hydrating the deepest layers of the skin.  This is my second bottle of this hydrating toner and probably won't be my last!

I follow up with the Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Moisturiser.  The texture of this is a cream but it's a really light cream.  It's a great base for make up and doesn't leave any tacky feeling on the skin.  My skin feels hydrated and plumped after use and the cream absorbs quickly.  I have a feeling mine is about to run out at any time and I wish the packaging was transparent because I do feel it looks a bit cheap for quite a pricey moisturiser.

I found this BRILLIANT post about the Rodial Dragons Blood range and some of the science behind it over on Beauty By The Geeks website.  It's a really interesting and well written article giving a balanced view of the range.  Definitely a blog I'm a little addicted to at the moment.

You can now buy Rodial in Dubai-I bought the toner from Harvey Nichols in Mall of the Emirates and I picked up the moisturiser from Space NK in the UK.

Have you tried any Rodial products?
