7/11 May!

It's the 11th of the month so time once again for my top 7 beauty loves right now!!

My current 7 beauty loves!!

Eagle eyed readers will notice there are actually 8 products pictured here but the 8th is the Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit perfume which was limited edition and completely sold out everywhere.  I feel a bit mean featuring a product you can't buy anymore but I love this so so much that it deserved an honorable mention!  If you have a bottle and don't like it I will buy it off you immediately!!!

Onto the other 7 products....

Jo Malone Red Roses cologne

Jo Malone Red Roses cologne

This has been my go to day perfume all month.  It's light, clean and fresh and smells like freshly cut roses.  I suspect I will buy the bigger bottle when I use up this 30ml size.

Dr Bronners Pure Castile Soap and Ren No 1 Purity Cleansing Balm

I love new discoveries and these two products have seriously impressed me.

Dr Bronners Pure Castile Soap

I have wanted to try this for SO long to clean my make up brushes!!  I think I first saw it on Vivianna Does Makeup and she said how good it was for brush cleaning.  I actually saw it in the US but didn't buy it as I was worried about weight in my case but last week in London I spied this in Selfridges I snapped up the little size bottle for £5.50.  Selfridges had almost all the range of 'flavours' but I plumped for the Citrus Orange.  This liquid soap is BRILLIANT.  You literally need a tiny bit to get your brushes thoroughly clean.  It produces a velvety soft lather, smells lovely and fruity and leaves my brushes cleansed and soft.  When I go back to London next week I will definitely be buying the larger size.  It's organic and also fairtrade.

Ren No 1 Purity Cleansing Balm

I reviewed this product here in April and I really loved it.  So much so that I repurchased it from Space NK in London last week.

Mac Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow in Woodwinked and Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in Birthday Suit

Mac Veluxe Pearl eyeshadow in Woodwinked and Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in Birthday Suit

These two eyeshadows have reminded me about the benefits of shopping my own stash!  Veluxe pearl is my favourite powder formulation from Mac when it comes to eyeshadow.  It's metallic, a slightly thicker texture and highly pigmented.  I've had this eyeshadow ages but recently re-discovered it.  It applies so nicely and is easy to blend out, giving a bronze sheen to the lid.  The Benefit creaseless cream was a more recent discovery that came in the 'Most Glamorous Nudes Ever' set from Benefit.  I love this shade either on its own or as a base for other powder shadow.  I find applying this first before powder shadows makes the powder shadow stronger, truer to pan and longer lasting.  It's one of the best cream eyeshadows I have used, easy to apply, easy to blend and long lasting-oh didn't I just say that about the Mac one too?!  I apply either with my fingers or with a Real Techniques crease brush.

Illamasqua cream blush in Zygomatic

Illamasqua cream blush in Zygomatic

Another reminder to shop my stash!  I have had this blush absolutely ages but hadn't even opened it!  This is the perfect cream blush for pale girls like me.  I am NC/NW15 in Mac and this blush is a slightly tan/pink colour that gives me face a bit of shape and a natural flush.  I use it as a blush, not for contouring-it's too 'wet' for a contour.

This is a very wet/creamy blusher but it isn't sticky.  One benefit of this is that it's incredibly easy to blend-either with your fingers or with a brush (I like the Real Techniques stippling brush for cream blush).  The downside is you need to wait that few extra seconds for it to dry before powdering.  It gives a very fresh, dewy finish and I can see this being a holiday staple because it's so easy to just slap on and go.  Because this is so creamy it would be perfect if you have dry skin.

It may be too pale for darker skinned girls but I definitely recommend you check out Illamsquas range of cream blushers as they have something for everyone.

Mac Mineralize Rich lipstick in Elegant Accent

Mac Mineralize Rich lipstick in Elegant Accent

My favourite Mac lipstick is Crosswires-but I have heard people say they find the cremesheen formula too drying.  If that's the case, the mineralize rich range could be for you.  And if you want something close to the coral-y, pink perfection that is Crosswires, Elegant Accent could be your perfect shade.

It's full coverage but incredibly creamy.  I do love a good coral lip!
