Elemental Herbology Moisture Milk

Whilst I was in the UK back in May, browsing the shelves of Space NK I came across the display of Elemental Herbology products.  This was a new brand to me and after a little guidance from the Space NK sales team I came away with quite a few products to try-pretty sure my debit card was crying as I left!

A little bit of internet research later and I found out that Elemental Herbology was created by Kristy Cimesa and her philosophy is to produce products which are packed with nutrients, luxurious to use and deliver amazing results.  Kristy’s vision of creating a range of skincare that is devoted to balancing the main elements that affect the skin – hormones, lifestyle and environment – has been brought to life with Elemental Herbology.

I've been using the Moisture Milk for about a month now and I really think this is the perfect summer moisturisor.  Designed for those prone to breakouts and especially designed use in the summer and in humid climates (tick, tick, tick), it is packed with ingredients I know my skin likes!

Key ingredients:

Glycolic Acid (from sugarcane) and Lactic Acid (from milk) helps purify pores, improves skin tone and texture and reduces pigmentation-I do love my AHA's!
Tea Tree Oil and Rosemary Oil have an anti-bacterial effect.
Aloe Vera cools and soothes.
Aceromine, a highly stabilized natural Vitamin C derived from the Acerola Fruit.
Green Tea and Vitamin A and E help protect against the environment.

Now I will be honest, I did expect the texture to be a milk given that this is called Moisture Milk.  It's not.  It's more of a serum texture that feels cooling and very slightly tightening as you apply it.  It absorbs very quickly and leaves a semi-matte finish.  The consistency is lovely in these hotter months when you want hydration but without the heaviness of a cream based moisturiser.  However, it does not contain SPF and it does contain AHA's so a decent SPF over the top is a must.

The packaging is stylish in its cool grey cylinder-easy to travel with and looks lovely on my dressing table.

And finally, the smell of this moisturiser is divine.  It's a bit like sour cherries and apples, I just love it!  I'm now excited to try the other bits from the range I picked up from Space NK.

Have you tried anything from Elemental Herbology?  Any other recommendations?
