Fashion Afternoon Tea, Raffles Dubai

Fashion Afternoon Tea, Raffles Dubai

Afternoon tea is definitely my thing.  My mum is also partial to an afternoon tea and we really enjoy trying out a new one each time my parents visit Dubai.  I'd been wanting to take my mum to the Fashion Afternoon Tea at Raffles for ages and whilst my dad was working in Dubai this weekend, we got the perfect opportunity to have a girls afternoon and eat cake!

The tea is served in the Raffles Salon on the ground floor, an opulent lounge with high ceilings and lots of red and gold.  The theme is fashion and it's the perfect place for a girls afternoon, a baby shower or a birthday.  I've been three times now and each time I have practically had the lounge to myself.  I have no idea why this afternoon tea isn't more popular because it really is amazing quality and value for money.  The service is also great-friendly but discreet and the ambiance is very serene.

Mum and I both agreed the Vanilla Infused Butter Poached Lobster basket and the Confit Chicken sandwich were the highlights from the savouries-but truly they were all delicious.  Our favourite sweets were the raspberry cream meringue swirl bag and mum loved the chocolate banana mini cupcake-I don't like banana so I skipped this!

The food is really plentiful and the cost includes unlimited tea, coffee and iced tea.  The tea menu is extensive and exotic-I had a mango and strawberry herbal tea and mum had peppermint tea.

The cost for two people is AED250 which I think is an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend-the tea is served every day of the week and is a really delicious treat!

And thank you mum for treating me!
