NARS Eye Opening Act-Yeux Irresistible Eyeshadow Palette review

If there ever came a time that we were in some make up crisis situation and I was told that I could only use ONE brand for the rest of my life I wouldn't hesitate to scream 'NARS' before protecting all my stash as if it were gold.

Sheer Glow foundation?  Check.  A blush for every season?  Check.  Your lipstick and lip gloss needs covered?  Check.  Creamy concealer?  Check.  But one of my very favorite things from NARS are their eyeshadows and I own almost every single fricking one of them.

The Eye Opening Act collection comprises of two mini eye palettes (the same size as the Fairy's Kiss and Ride Up To The Moon from last year), 5 Velvet Shadow Sticks and a new Multiple stick and all are limited edition.  The sad news is that I have heard the UK will only receive one of the eye palettes due to regulatory requirements (i.e to do with ingredients allowable in the UK)

I bought one of the eye palettes 'Yeux Irresistible' and man oh man it is amazing.  I loved it the moment I opened it.  There isn't a shade I don't love-although I am a bit bored of NARS putting Coconut Grove into every eye palette just as they put Orgasm into every blush palette.

The great thing about this palette is that all the shades are great.  Pigmentation and payoff is smooth, even, opaque, just what I expect from NARS eyeshadows.

Here's a run down of the shades:

Top row

All About Eve  Shimmery champagne, the least pigmented in the palette but a fab all rounder wash over the lid/inner corner highlight/eyebrow highlight/delete as appropriate

Jezebel  A rusty toned, beautiful bronze shade, massively pigmented and lovely

Thunderball  A matte blackened teal.  It is very smooth and doesn't have the chalkiness which often goes hand in hand with matte shades

Bottom row

Colombo Love love love this smooth, opaque warm gold.  It has wow factor!

Brousse One of my all time fave NARS shades, this is a plummy taupe that has great pigmentation and is a dream to apply.

Coconut Grove  A NARS staple, matte dark brown.  I also read this shade contains gold glitter but I can never see much of it, to me it's a matte crease shade.

I love this palette because it's so versatile and you can create looks for a very natural eye to a very dramatic eye.  NARS, you're the Queen of palettes!
