Haul Post-Beauty Bay!

So before I get into this haul post I have spent the weekend spring cleaning.  I am totally shattered-we were up until 01.14am this morning because I decided that I needed new storage for my over-spilling make-up collection.  So off we went to Ikea yesterday morning and ended up buying new bedroom furniture in the form of 2 new sets of drawers-one exclusively for me to use for make-up/cosmetics and a new dressing table and it took Mike around 6 hours to assemble them all.

So, the upshot of all this is 1) my make-up now has a new home 2) the 'new home' is still ram packed and 3) I have far too much stuff!!

I was excited at first sorting through all my make-up but then it became quite depressing knowing I have so much stuff I haven't even opened and more than I can probably ever use.  I am super hygiene conscious so I have a habit of buying things and they sit unopened and sealed until I am ready to use them.  I'm not the kind of person who would open up and use say 5 foundations or mascaras at one time-I use one til its done before moving onto the next.  Having said that-I still love my stash-I just need to reign it in a little and don't need to buy any more for a while.

I have a parcel from Mac, a parcel from HQ Hair and a parcel from Cult Beauty on their way to me but after that I'm going to try not to buy anything more until March.  It's not a spending ban-as I feel I would be setting myself up to fail (probably within a week) but its a more conscious effort to get through some of my stash.

This stash is from Beauty Bay.  They do not deliver to Dubai (although they do deliver to most international countries) but I used my Aramex Shop and Ship account to have them delivered to me.  I ordered on Xmas eve and Xmas day and both parcels were dispatched on the 27th and received on the 28th.  Very impressive for this time of year!  Some of the items were in the sale-if they're still available I'll put links in below.

The haul!

Per-fekt Lip Perfection Gel in Paramount and Hollywood, The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ in Red Velvet, Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

Per-fekt Lip Perfection Gels

Per-fekt Lip Perfection Gel in Paramount and Hollywood

Sale item

I dream of being utterly perfect!!  This is a new brand to me-I love trying new products.  These squeezable tubes of gloss claim to prime, plump and tint lips whilst perfecting and enhancing the lip surface.  Paramount is described as 'a true classic, this delicate pink is perfect for the office' and Hollywood is described as 'a full powered starlet red for a touch of Hollywood glamour'.   The glosses have a flower shaped tip applicator for precise, even coverage.

The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ in Red Velvet

Sale item

Another new brand, in my December Wish List post I mentioned I wanted to try the Sara Happ Lip Scrub and I now own 2-the green apple and the red velvet.  I love love love red velvet cupcakes so I am sure this will be a winner with me!  Beauty Bay are the ONLY website I could find in the UK stocking the red velvet flavour-everywhere else seemed to be sold out.  Cannot wait to try this!  Beautiful packaging as well, and although it may seem expensive you get a lot of product.  Rumour has it Reese Witherspoon loves this and I am a massive fan of hers.  This scrub is perfect for sloughing away dry, flaky skin.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

Full price item

If you read this blog you will know I'm a huge fan of Stila products.  This is my second liquid lipstick-this product goes on wet like a gloss but dries to a matte velvety finish.  The colours are bold but are not drying as they contain Vitamin E and Avacado Oil.  Patina is a pinky nude perfect for daytime.

ArtDeco Glam Stars Blusher

This is another new brand to me and I read that this is Germany's number one cosmetic brand and is new to the UK.  I may be wrong but I am sure Dita Von Teese did a collaboration with them recently. This blusher is beautiful-it is so pretty!  It contains nude, coral and pink and isn't too 'full on' for my pale skin.  It's one of the prettiest products I have seen this year, inside and out.

Stila Stylish in Seoul mini travel palette

Stila Stylish In Seoul mini travel palette

I already own 3 of these palettes and I just think they are amazing value as they retail for around £10 each.  Stylish in Seoul seems to be sold out but Beauty Bay still have various other versions of these mini palettes.  This palette contains 5 eyeshadows-3 brown tones, a pale grey and an aubergine colour and a convertible colour in Azalea.  Convertible colours are awesome-multi purpose creams to be used on cheeks and lips.  Very similar in consistency to the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge.  Each palette also contains a little make-up application lesson with ideas on how to get the best from your palette.

Too Faced Natural Flirt collection.

Too Faced Natural Flirt collection

Sale item

I now own 4 Too Faced palettes but I haven't opened them yet.  This collection was too cute to miss though!  Each of the products can be purchased individually as well.

The make-up case reminds me of Agent Provocateur lingerie-it's ridiculously cute with its mini black bows on each end and black silk frill.  The set contains a mini blush brush (again so cute with its little black bow), the best selling Pink Leopard bronzer, an Exotic Colour intense eyeshadow in Magic Mushroom (golden pink), a deluxe size Shadow Insurance (eyeshadow primer) in Candlelight, a deluxe size Lash-gasm mascara in Black and a full size Glamour Gloss in This Is Pretty-a neutral rose colour.
Really pleased with everything I bought as it was all impulse buys-I hope the products I've ordered from Cult Beauty, Mac and HQ Hair are as good!
